Stress is part of every life

Modern societies have created more ways of being stressed than any previous generation. Some of the challenges of modern world include balancing: work, finances, family responsibilities, relationship(s), environmental stressors, chemical overload, emotional issues, nutritional challenges, trauma, psycho-spiritual challenges, illness (acute illnesses, episodic and chronic illness) and the list goes on.

Search online for stress management and you’ll find millions of pages including treatments. So why do so many claim to feel increasingly stressed? In a 2010 Lifeline survey Australians self-reported being more stressed than ever before. Statistically, Australians are more stressed than Americans! Are you one those people? Why?

As Dr Selye said, people know of but don’t understand stress. And because people don’t understand stress, most stress programs focus on delivering relief.

 

Living Calm

Is a unique program that blends latest information and thinking in the area of health and healing with self-assessment techniques and strategies to help participants: identify their unique approach to stress; understand the factors that make up their stress load; develop strategies to address or remove the stressors; and neutralise the impact of stress all while enjoying increasing levels of calm.

Stress is individual:

  • No one else has the same stress profile as you
  • Nobody does stress the same way you do
  • No one else lives your life, has your goals and aspirations

Therefore, it stands to reason the best solution for the stress in your life has to come from you. Living Calm participants learn new ways to think about understand stress. They develop a personalised approach to increasing calm in their lives that is sustainable. Living Calm helps people create immediate, beneficial changes in their lives. Living Calm: it’s All About You.

Living Calm participants:

  • learn stress is PHYSICAL which is critical to achieve lasting change
  • deal with ALL aspects of stress because stress is more than the fight or flight response
  • learn how different stressors impact themselves, their health, relationships and they
  • develop appropriate strategies to address the range of stressors in their life, based on their lifestyle choices.

Living Calm Options

 

Is available to individuals wanting to make lasting change in their health and well-being. There is the choice of attending a Living Calm workshop, using the self-paced program online or attending individual sessions.
Is a program designed for parents to provide the support and strategies required demanded from family living because “kids don’t come with a manual” and most of us learned about stress by default.

Living Calm for Parents is currently available in workshops, small group and personal sessions.

Like people, organisations have their unique stressors which are reflected in morale of staff. As with individuals, organisational problems and solutions are unique to the business.

So Living Calm for Business is a series of modules customised to suit the needs of the organisation.
